Members of the news media who wish to cover Theresa May’s visit to Brown University must request credentials from Brown’s Office of University Communications no later than 12:00 noon Eastern Standard Time on Friday, Feb. 21. Credential requests will not be granted on site at the event.
Credentials will be reserved exclusively for journalists working on assignment for professional news organizations. Audio and video recording is prohibited in all forms. Still photography is prohibited, although the University will provide photography for media use after the event’s conclusion.
Media seating will be reserved at the event for all credentialed journalists. Space is limited and access will be limited to a single journalist for any given news organization.
Credential requests should be submitted in writing to media_relations@brown.edu and must include:
- Reporter’s name and contact information, including both email and phone number
- Professional news organization’s name
- Web address, business mailing address and phone number for news organization
Confirmation of media credentials will be sent via email by Friday, Feb. 28. Instructions for media credential pickup and media entry to the March 4 event, along with specific location details, will be provided as credentials are confirmed. Upon pickup, all media will be required to present photo identification along with a badge or credential issued by the professional news organization.
